Hylton Langley
Founder & Private Guide
Hylton Langley Safaris is the realisation of a lifelong passion for Africa and its wild places. After earning a National Diploma in Nature Conservation from Pretoria Technikon, Hylton began his career as a game ranger with the Natal Parks Board, working in iconic reserves such as uMfolozi and St Lucia.
His guiding journey took him to some of Africa’s most respected safari destinations, including MalaMala Game Reserve and Botswana’s Okavango Delta, where he refined his craft and developed a deep understanding of luxury, wilderness travel, and guest experience.
With more than 26 years in the tourism and hospitality industry, and hundreds of safaris planned and hosted, Hylton knows Southern Africa with rare depth and clarity. His calm confidence, extensive regional knowledge, and intuitive guiding style ensure every safari runs smoothly and feels effortless.
Fluent in Swedish, Hylton has a strong connection with Scandinavian travellers and a natural ability to make guests feel at home in Africa. Together with his wife Margaux, he has dedicated his life’s work to sharing Africa responsibly, thoughtfully, and generously.
Margaux Langley
Safari Planner and Private Guide
Born and raised in Africa, Margaux’s connection to the natural world began early and has shaped her life’s path. She holds a BTech in Ecotourism Management, graduating cum laude, and has built a career rooted in conservation, guiding, and meaningful travel experiences.
Her background includes conducting the annual lion census in Kruger National Park, training field guides at leading guide schools, and hosting guests at some of Africa’s most renowned safari lodges, including Singita and Tswalu.
A qualified regional bird guide, Margaux brings exceptional birding knowledge to every safari, adding depth and richness to the experience. Her guiding excellence was recognised when she was named runner-up in the Safari Guide of the Year competition, where she won Best Game Drive, Best Birding, and Best Shooting, and stood out as the only female finalist.
As a qualified Trails Guide with tracking certification, Margaux is passionate about immersive, respectful encounters with the wild. Her focus is always on connection, understanding, and creating safaris that feel both grounding and unforgettable.
Together, Hylton and Margaux design journeys that are deeply personal, expertly planned, and rooted in a genuine love for Africa.
